Introduction
In EDA you will have 7 problem classes and each of them follows roughly the same structure. In every session we solve together a selection of problems from the EDA ProblemSet.
To make the most out of each problem class, try the corresponding exercises before each session using a reasonable amount of time.
The Goal is to arrive at the class either with
- written solutions of the problems, or
- concrete questions on places where you got stuck and didn’t know how to continue.
Why come to class with written solutions?
If you came to problem classes with written solutions you will get personalized feedback! For instance on:
- the quality of the writing
-
perhaps the idea behind the attempted solution is correct, but it could still be difficult to read. For instance, would another EDA student able to read and understand it without you being with him/her explaining it? Was it too verbose/long? Is the handwriting actually readable? If the exercise required a yes/no answer, was there actually a yes/no answer?
Arrive at class with written solutions and I’ll try to help you write them in a more effective/readable way.
- how to get from the partial solution to a correct one
- if the original solution was only half-way correct, I’ll try to help to get from there to a correct solution. Usually, there is not a single way to solve the exercises.
